The Policy Observatory is a partnership with leading researchers and scholars committed to the provision of high quality research and advice on public policy. The evidence-based approach to the publications and commentaries generated by The Observatory is aimed at providing the public with an independent source of information on critical issues facing society today. The Observatory is based at the Auckland University of Technology. The Advisory Board that oversees the development of The Observatory comprises leading researchers and scholars from the university system and from both the public and private sectors.
I was involved in this project as front-end developer, building a responsive theme (for the use with WordPress CMS) from a design provided. A very modern and stylish one-page layout as home page was used to present information releases to website users. Development of customized plugins was required to meet customer’s needs and requirements.
A mixture of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery was used to achieve excellent website, which was launch within 1 week of development and testing on desktop, tablets and mobile devices.
